Team comps
10/10 at beast rank 5, from the FC guide's team screenshot.
Three Vilekin at rank 5. Zane Lionhart's 'ultimate strategy' run: Legendary every time, 10 Faded Remnants per run.
Bat, Vulture, Zu at rank 5 — two INT attackers and Zu on STR. From 'First Board of the Unbroken Crucible EASY Guide (Legendary Rank & Third Degree)'.
Damselfly, Wespe, Mantis at rank 5 — the Vilekin trio with Damselfly's poison instead of Diremite. From the same Legendary / Third Degree guide.
Bring the lot and pick three per stop; each battle page names the suggested trio. Not a scoring comp (roster-size bonus is lost).
Strategy
Normal clear
Bring the full squad (see Team comps above — First Board of the Unbroken allows the cap shown in the header). This is the leveling run: everyone gains rank XP, so follow the cap − 3 rule from the Crucible overview if you’re leveling the whole team.
Safe route
Left at the first fork, right at the second. Two campsites, so you can heal twice. Going left at either fork instead trades a camp for an extra item.
Coverage roster
Ice Golem, Opo-opo, Gigantoad, Coeurl, Geshunpest, Behemoth, Cu Sith, Zu, Adamantoise, Colibri. Ice Golem, Gigantoad, Behemoth, Cu Sith and Adamantoise can all tank for you if HP management is the problem.

Legendary run
Team: Vilekin trio — Diremite, Mantis, Wespe (all rank 5). Two alternatives from the Legendary Rank & Third Degree guide also work: a Cloudkin trio (Bat, Vulture, Zu — two INT attackers) and a Vilekin variant with Damselfly in for Diremite. All three are under Team comps above; load one into the builder from there.
Sold as a Faded Remnant farm: Legendary every time, 10 per run.
Setups that work
- Cloudkin (utility / cleanse): Zu for wind resistance down and main damage, Vulture for wind damage and cleansing enemy buffs, Bat to cleanse your own poisons and bleeds.
- Burst (damage): Behemoth’s Meteor for add phases, Cu Sith and Opo-opo as auto-attackers with burst.
- Vilekin (poison): stack poisons and buff Wespe’s Final Sting.
Tricks from the Legendary run
- Free Borrow: summon a sacrificial beast first, use Borrow, then swap to your main beast — you keep both Tempered Release and Borrow available on the first cycle.
- Use Threaten so your beasts take as little auto-attack damage as possible (No Beast Left Behind and Selfless are worth 2,000 together).
- Skip add phases with burst. The demonstrated run scored about 17.9k for Legendary.
Third Degree
Priorities flip to pure survival. Treat your second and third beasts as sacrificial tanks for tankbusters, lean on elemental and type advantages (Cu Sith into the piercing-weak boss), and watch for drops like the Angel Robe for poison immunity.
Route: the FC guide’s map shows the path taken in red. To draw it on the board map here, list the node ids in walking order in src/data/curated/routes.json under "unbroken-1" — the ids are printed next to each tile on the map.
